After lunch, proceed to explore the historical ruins of Ayutthaya including Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once the holiest temple within the royal palace grounds, followed by Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head entwined in tree roots, and Wat Ratchaburana, known for its striking prang and ancient crypt.
